New partner: Diwan

Diwan is not only a cosy place to enjoy the latest literary developments of the Balkan region but also Eurozine’s new partner from Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The journal emerged from the Gradacac Literary Meetings. Over the years Diwan remained active in this field by publishing an annual edition of works that are presented at the Cum grano salis literary meetings.

In only few years time Diwan has transformed and surpassed the local horizon of Bosnia-Herzegovina. It has redefined itself from an almanac into a cultural magazine that has published the works of well over 130 authors. Diwan wishes to foster cultural exchange within Bosnia-Herzegovina and the former Yugoslav states and provides a voice for younger but also for already established authors.

Editor in chief Dinko Delic’s concept of presentation unites essays and prose mixed with poetry and pictures. As Delic says: “The design of Diwan is provocative, but simple and attractive – with works by the pop-artist Bojan Bahic.”

Diwan provides its readers with an extensive and exciting overview of literature from the Balkans.
