Øyvind Strømmen

is a journalist with a degree in religious science. He writes in particular about religion, religious extremism and political extremism. He is also a member of the political party Miljøpartiet Dei Grøne (the green environmentalist party) and is on the board of the Norwegian Society for the Conservation of Nature, division Hordaland.


There are clear signs that Internet-radicalization was behind the terrorism of Anders Behring Breivik. Though most research on this points to jihadism, it can teach us a lot about how Internet-radicalization of all kinds can be fought.
