Political scientist. Professor of Political Science and Political Sociology at the European University Institute. She is known for her research in the areas of social movements, corruption, political violence, police and policies of public order. Her most recent publication is Social Movements in Times of Austerity, Cambridge, Cambridge: Polity 2015.
