David Lehman

is a poet, writer and editor born in New York City in 1948. His latest book of poems is When a Woman Loves a Man (2005). Among his nonfiction books are The Last Avant-Garde: The Making of the New York School of Poets (1999) and The Perfect Murder (2000).
