An analytical inquiry about the relationship between president Rolandas Paksas and society

The author explains how the president’s image as representative of interests of broad layers of society was modeled by pr-specialists and how this affected the present scandal. Society was informed about supposed deeds of Paksas with the aim to strengthen his image. He was associated with “simple” people and the notion of nationalism. The initiatives of Paksas and his team can be analyzed as a model that was attempted to realize in Lithuania.
