New Partner Journals: The Ukrainians Media and Nemunas

Eurozine is delighted to welcome two new partners to the Eurozine network: The Ukrainians Media and Nemunas (Lithuania).

The Ukrainians Media is an independent media ecosystem dedicated to high-quality, long-form journalism, intellectual reflection and social change. Since its founding, the platform has become a vital space for in-depth interviews and critical opinions from Ukraine’s most renowned public intellectuals – including writers, journalists and researchers – fostering a sophisticated dialogue on the country’s past, present and European future.

Combining a strong digital presence with a deep commitment to print culture, the outlet bridges the gap between fast-paced news and enduring thought. At the heart of its print production is the quarterly magazine Reporters, Ukraine’s only publication dedicated exclusively to literary journalism and documentary photography.

The cultural and arts magazine Nemunas was launched in Lithuania in 1967. During the Soviet era, the magazine became known for its subtle yet perceptible intellectual resistance to the dominant ideological framework of the time, providing a space for freer artistic expression. Today, Nemunas continues to engage readers who approach the world with curiosity and a desire for deeper encounter with contemporary culture.

The magazine presents original creative work alongside essays and features on visual art, architecture, theatre, cinema, dance, literature, photography and related fields. Nemunas avoids short-lived, event-driven content, focusing instead on in-depth portraits, creative work, and cultural phenomena intended to remain relevant and engaging for decades to come.
