Raja Shehadeh

is a Palestinian lawyer and writer who lives in Ramallah. His first book Strangers in the House: Coming of Age in Occupied Palestine (Profile Books, 2003), was followed by When the Bulbul Stopped Singing: A diary of Ramalleh under siege (Profile Books, 2003).
