Founding Director of the Stockholm Centre for Eastern European Studies (SCEEUS) at the Swedish Institute for International Affairs. From 2012 to 2017 he was the Ambassador of Sweden to the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) and from 2018 to 2021 Sweden’s first Ambassador and Special Envoy for countering hybrid threats.
