Angus Calder

is an author, poet, critic, editor and journalist, living in Edinburgh, Scotland. Angus Calder’s literary career has also included many academic appointments in Edinburgh and in universities as far apart as Waikato and Zimbabwe. He has written extensively on the Second World War, including The People’s War: Britain 1939-1945 (1969), and on Russian and African literature, as well as on the literatures of Scotland and England.
