is Professor of Culture and Economy at Heriot Watt University in the UK. He is also Visiting Professor of European Ethnology at Vytautas Magnus University, Kaunas, editor-in-chief of the Anthropological Journal of European Cultures and president of the Société Internationale d’Ethnologie et de Folklore.
