Rodolphe Gasché

is Eugenio Donato Professor of Comparative Literature at State University of New York. Numerous publications, including The Tain of the Mirror – Derrida and the Philosophy of Reflection (1986), Inventions of Differance – On Jacques Derrida (1994) and The Wild Card of Reading – On Paul de Man (1998). A book on Kant, Of Minimal Things – Rethinking Kant’s Aesthetics, and a collection of essays, The Honor of Thinking – Theory, Criticism, Philosophy, will appear in 2003. Gasché is currently writing a book on the philosophical concept of Europe.
