Who we are
Eurozine is a network of European cultural magazines that links up over 80 partner journals from 34 European countries and connects many other associated magazines and institutions.
Eurozine is also a netmagazine that publishes original texts on culture and politics and the best articles -- with additional translations -- from its partner journals. Eurozine gives a Europe-wide overview of current themes and discussions and provides a rich source of information for an international readership.
How does Eurozine finance itself?
Eurozine is an independent non-profit organisation based in Vienna. Eurozine is financed by subsidies from the European Commission (Culture Programme), the Austrian Ministry of Culture and the City of Vienna. More than half of the annual budget of roughly 300 000 euros is raised through cooperations with international foundations, text syndication and contributions by the partner journals (partner fees).
What will Eurozine do with your donation?
The core work done at Eurozine is selecting, editing and translating articles from the partner journals as well as commissioning original texts on the most pressing issues of our times and presenting them online. The high standards set by Eurozine are being highly appreciated by contributing authors and journals as well as readers and has turned out to be one of the features that distinguishes this project from most other endeavours in the field. Approximately 200 000 individual readers access Eurozine every month.
