Dialogi Self-description

Dialogi has been published for over forty years and is one of Slovenia's most longstanding cultural magazines. With an Editorial Board made up of middle and younger generations, and published by Aristej, the small private publishing house in Maribor, Dialogi is widely received and appreciated.

Dialogi is a general cultural magazine for literature, theatre, fine art, music, and cultural and intellectual life. Its contents are oriented towards the Slovene and international cultural arena. In the literary section, leading Slovene authors of the middle and younger generations publish their latest works. Dialogi also publishes translations of foreign authors less well-known in Slovenia, including young American prose, young Russian prose, recent Polish literature, new Croatian prose, contemporary Estonian poetry, and contemporary Latvian poetry.

The magazine's thematic issues have met with the widest response. They have included: C.G. Jung's reception in Slovenia; Youth at the End of the Millenium -- 30 Years of the Student Movement; Virtual Worlds and New Technologies; The state of mind in our town -- intellectual tradition in Maribor.
