is Henry Charles Lea Professor of History, Emerita, at Princeton University. She is also Adjunct Professor of History and Senior Fellow, Centre for Comparative Literature, University of Toronto. Her publications inlcude The Return of Martin Guerre and Women on the Margins: Three Seventeenth-Century Lives. She lives with her family in Toronto.
