The Prize honours essayists of the highest calibre who have contributed to the intellectual discourse in Europe, across borders. In connection with the award of the Jean Améry Prize in March 2016, Eurozine will publish essays by authors nominated for the prize, including by a representative selection of Eurozine partner journals.
This year’s School of Kyiv – Kyiv Biennial provides fora for an international cast of artists and intellectuals to address issues of burning importance for the citizens of Ukraine, Europe and beyond. Exhibitions and arenas for public reflection offer a basis for imagining egalitarian and alternative futures, as well as the counter-propositions of art.
