Vasilije Krestic
is Professor of Modern National History and Head of the Department for Modern History of the Yugoslav Peoples in the Philosophy Faculty at the University of Belgrade. He is a member of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts in Belgrade, and Director of the Archives of the Academy. Together with Mihajlo Markovic and others, he is co-author of the "Memorandum" that formulated the central tenets of Serbian nationalism in 1986.
