Ian Kershaw
born in Lancashire, Great Britain, in 1943. Professor of modern history at Sheffield University, widely regarded as the world's leading expert on Adolf Hitler and the Third Reich. Educated at Liverpool University, initially as a medieval scholar, later professor of modern history at Manchester and then Sheffield universities. His most recent publication is the bestselling two-volume Hitler-biography titled Hubris and Nemesis respectively.
