Karin Norman

is professor of Social anthropology at Stockholm University. Her research concerns socialization processes and childhood, with a focus on transformations of family and kinship. She also has an interest in issues of the material and spatial aspects of social life, not least the meanings and uses of house and home. She has conducted fieldwork in Germany, Sweden and Kosovo.
