Carolin Emcke
(b.1967) has been a staff writer at Der Spiegel since 1998, covering human rights violations and war crimes in Lebanon, Colombia, Nicaragua, Kashmir, Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Iraq. In 2003/2004 she was a visiting lecturer of political theory at Yale University. Her publications include Kollektive Identitäten. Sozialphilosophische Grundlagen (2000) and Von den Kriegen: Briefe an Freunde (2004).
