Anne Higonnet

is a professor in the Department of Art History at Barnard College, Columbia University. She teaches and writes about nineteenth century art, childhood, and collecting. Her books include Pictures of Innocence: the History and Crisis of Ideal Childhood (Thames & Hudson).
