It's Time to Talk
New online platform hosts European debates from nine countries
We are pleased to be able to present our new sister site, Time to Talk (TTT).
TTT is a network of European Houses of Debate dedicated to promoting in-depth discussion of issues that affect all Europeans. TTT subscribes to an uncompromising policy of open access, interactively embracing as many members of the public as possible and helping to initiate wider debate in areas of crucial contemporary concern.
With members in nine nation states – Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, Poland, Slovakia, Spain and the UK – the project covers the length and breadth of the continent and with the launch of the TTT website the discussion can continue with an expanded audience.
In its first phase, TTT investigated the nature of Europe in its hour of crisis and extrapolated upon the common European experience in relation to two questions: "What's wrong with Europe?" and "What's the future for Europe?" Now, with the launch of the new website, TTT is looking to bring the results of these debates to an online audience. Eurozine is delighted to be a partner in this endeavour and provide a platform for taking a closer look at prevailing European opinions on the matters that count.
TTT debates will now be accessible any time, anywhere. On the new site visitors will be able to view photographs, video highlights and textual summaries from all the TTT events. If you missed debates in your neighbourhood, then catch up with them here. If you were at every Agora debate in Prague, but couldn't make the trip to Sofia to attend those at The Red House, then you can view them here. Find out more about the opinions of the Dutch youth, of Slovakian and Czech students, of Polish professors and Spanish activists. Time to Talk online presents all of the debates, accessible all of the time.
