Stolen history
Intervention
The subject of this work was public sculptures in Copenhagen. It took place in the first twenty four hours of the U-Turn Quadrennial for Contemporary Art. In the morning of the opening day of the festival, five helper groups used balaclavas to cover monuments of historical personalities and modern representations of human figures around the city. In the evening and the following day, the sculptures and the monuments were "set free" as their covered heads were unveiled. After a few hours, the police stopped the realization of the work. Around sixty of the city's 150 sculptures had then been covered.
