Decolonizing political economy and postcolonial studies

Postmodernism as an epistemological project still reproduces a particular form of coloniality. A decolonial perspective requires a broader canon of thought that would require taking seriously the epistemic insights of critical thinkers from the global South. [ more ]

About the notion "Handlungsspielräume" (Abstract)

Focusing on options for action ("Handlungsspielräume") raises the question of wether we can assume an ontological freedom of action and under which circumstances and preconditions what human behavior can and/or must be considered tolerable for all and what behavior can and/or must be perceived as reprehensible and culpable. The aim of analyzing options for action is to explore the existing preconditions for action and thus to approach the issue of what behavior can be considered bearable and tolerable.

This is an abstract. The full article is available in German.
